Cuba Libre in Old City (2nd & Market) will celebrate its signature cocktail, the mojito, on National Mojito Day – Wednesday, July 11 – with $5 Classic Mojitos available all day at the bar beginning at 11:30 a.m.!
The cocktail, made famous by Ernest Hemingway and made best by Cuba Libre, is made with hand-pressed sugarcane (called guarapo), fresh lime juice, mint, Cuba Libre’s own white rum, and a splash of soda.
The $5 mojito special begins during lunch at 11:30 a.m. Mojitos can be paired with any of our lunch offerings, including our three-course “Rápido Lunch” and our lunch favorite, the Eat-A-Frita burgers! The full a la carte lunch menu is available all day at the bar.
The Mojito Day celebration will continue throughout the day at Happy Hour from 5-7 p.m., where the $5 mojitos can be paired with $5 tapas bites, and throughout dinner beginning at 4 p.m., featuring Cuba Libre’s traditional Cuban tapas, grilled meats and seafood, and many more exciting dishes by Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot.
