Just in time for Labor Day grilling, Cuba Libre's Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot and Executive Chef Jennifer Salhoff have introduced the “Grill en Casa” at-home barbecue package, complete with ingredients and recipes for at-home chefs to prepare a Cuban feast. Crafted with a family of four (two adults and two children) in mind, the package includes menu favorites for cooking at home, with detailed recipes directly from the Cuba Libre kitchen for a four-course lunch or dinner on the grill, including:
•Appetizers: Jardín Salad, Pineapple Guacamole Cubano, Pulled Pork Empanadas, Pressed Cuban Bread and the restaurant’s signature homemade Mango Butter
•Entrees: 16 oz. skirt steak, two Churrasco Burger patties, three-quarters of a pound of shrimp, two Cortez Chorizo sausage links and four boneless marinated chicken thighs
•Sides: four ears of corn
•Dessert: three Chocolate Brownies, recommended to be served with ice cream
“Cuba Libre’s ‘Grill en Casa’ at-home barbecue package is a fantastic way for the whole family to come together and enjoy a delicious meal,” said Chef Pernot. “I love cooking for my family, especially on the grill, and I’m excited to give Philadelphia grill masters a way to try their hand at authentic Cuban barbecue favorites – it’ll be a hit with the whole family!”
The “Grill en Casa” barbecue package will be sold for $75.00 and can be picked up from the restaurant, located at 10 S. 2nd Street in Old City, in a portable insulated tote with ice packs included. Interested grill masters can reserve their at-home barbecue package by calling 215-627-0666 or emailing info@cubalibrerestaurant.com. An advance notice of 24 hours is required for all orders.
