Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar in Old City, Philadelphia invites you on Tuesday, October 9th, for a taste of two-time James Beard Award–winning chef Guillermo Pernot’s new cookbook Cuba Cooks: Recipes and Secrets from Cuban Paladares and Their Chefs. General admission for the event kicks off at 7 p.m., with cocktails and small plates featured in Cuba Cooks. Come hungry for bold flavors and learn about the Cuban tradition of private restaurants called paladares that inspired Chef Pernot’s latest recipes.
The event will feature tastings of food profiled in the cookbook and from the Cuba Libre’s menu, along with a conversation with Chef Pernot and a WHYY host, and a book signing with Chef/Author Guillermo Pernot! Tickets are available through WHYY’s website, and are $80 per person for general admission, and $110 per person for the VIP tickets.
