Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, located at 9th & H Streets, NW in Penn Quarter, Washington DC, will celebrate the release of Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot’s newest cookbook, Cuba Cooks: Recipes and Secrets From Cuban Paladares and Their Chefs (October 2018) with a book signing party on Tuesday, November 13. Guests pay $50 per person to enjoy an open bar with beer, red and white wine by the glass, house red and white sangria, Pyrat Mojitos, Mango Mojitos and Spiced Cuba Libre’s, along with an array of passed and stationary tapas, ceviches, and desserts profiled in Cuba Cooks.
Dishes featured will be recipes from Chef Pernot’s latest cookbook and include: ceviche, chicken croquettes, spinach and cheese fritters, Cuban pork, braised pulled duck legs, and an array of desserts, including Cuba Libre’s famous Mami Totty’s Arroz Con Leche, and more! Cookbooks will be available throughout the event and priced at $40 - make sure to get Chef Pernot’s autograph on your copy before the end of the night!
