Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, located at 9th & H Streets, NW in Penn Quarter, Washington DC, will offer a $35/person three-course dinner menu for DC Restaurant Week from now through Aug. 30. Cuba Libre DC Executive Chef Angel Roque and Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot’s prix fixe menu allows guests to select an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $35/person during dinner, or take out/delivery for $60 for two people.
During dinner, guests can start with an appetizer like our Shrimp Cóctel, Cuban-style shrimp cocktail with Latino cóctel and avocado salsa; Barrio Chino Chicken Wings, a pound of award-winning Asian BBQ glazed wings with pickled pineapple and sweet chili sauce; or Pineapple Guacamole Cubano with avocado, grilled golden pineapple, roasted jalapeños, fresh lime juice, extra virgin olive oil, served with plantain chips.
Dinner entrees include: Ropa Vieja, braised, shredded and stewed beef brisket with tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, red wine, served with white rice and maduros; Camarones Enchiladas, jumbo shrimp in Cuba Libre enchilada tomato with cilantro sauce, white rice and maduros and Pollo Asado, roasted, all-natural, free-range half chicken with sour orange sauce “Rancho y Luna” style with black beans and white rice. For dessert, guests can choose our Cuban Flan with vanilla custard, dulce de leche, whipped cream and vanilla cookie or the Churros con Chocolate, crispy cinnamon-sugar dusted fried dough with chocolate dipping sauce. Dinner is served Monday through Thursday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Sunday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. For dining in, we ask that the entire table participate in Restaurant Week.
