Join us at Cuba Libre DC (801 9th St. NW) on Wednesday, Aug. 23, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and get your mini Cuban sandwich for $5 at the bar! Our full Happy Hour menu will also be available.
You’re gonna love our Cubano sandwich - it’s pressed and loaded with pork loin, ham, salami, provolone, and Swiss cheese, plus our homemade mustard-pickle relish. YUM. Pro tip: Add on a rum flight for $15 since it’s still Rum Month at Cuba Libre!
Did you know?! We serve a classic Cuban sandwich that is based on the original Ybor city style. The Cuban sandwich originated in Tampa (specifically the “Ybor City'' neighborhood) in the mid 1800s when a large influx of Italian, Spanish and Cuban immigrants came to work the cigar factories in the area bringing with them their culinary taste. The basic ham and cheese sandwich morphed into a pressed sandwich with ham, swiss cheese, roast pork and Genoa salami (the Italian influence) dressed with mustard and pickles. This sandwich represents fusion cuisine at its finest and is one of the most popular menu items at Cuba Libre!
Bar seating is first come, first served.
