In celebration of National Rum Day, Cuba Libre's own James Beard Award-winning Chef Guillermo Pernot and our team at Cuba Libre hosted a fun night of eating, drinking and learning all about rum and how to make the most authentic and delicious mojitos and ceviches.
The night started with a sampling of our tapas while guests enjoyed our tropical and festive atmosphere. And then, class was in session. Mixologist extraordinaire Vance Henderson, our Beverage Manager from Cuba Libre DC, hand-picked a flight of rum for our guests that showcased the spirit's versatilty and complex flavors. Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot prepared a variety of tasty ceviches, with help from several attendees, which were then paired with cocktails (all using different types of rums) - including our signature classic mojito.
